Twelve injured in taxi-car crash

'Medics assessed the patients and found that 12 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries' – ER24.

ER24 reported that 12 people were injured when a taxi rear-ended a light motor vehicle on Randfontein Road in Kagiso on Friday morning, 23 October.

In a statement sent by ER24 communications officer, Russel Meiring, they found the taxi and the other car in the middle of the road. The vehicle occupants had already got out of the vehicles and were sitting next to the road.

Medics assessed the patients and found that 12 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found,” he added.

All patients were then treated for their injuries before they were taken to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

“The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
