Crowned twice in one weekend

Recently, nearing the end of her matric year, Mila competed against 16 contestants in the Miss Walk of Fame pageant and ultimately walked away with the crown in the 16 to 18 age category, and in the Most Photogenic category.

A great way of coming out of your shell, especially when you’re a shy preschooler, is to take one big leap out of your comfort zone right into the spotlight.

Mila Loubser was just five years old when she took her first nerve-racking step onto the runway for her first modelling and finishing school classes. It wasn’t long before she had the confidence of a proud lioness.

Recently, nearing the end of her matric year, Mila competed against 16 contestants in the Miss Walk of Fame pageant and ultimately walked away with the crown in the 16 to 18 age category, and in the Most Photogenic category.

Her busy weekend wasn’t done just yet. The very next day, on 11 October, Mila took on the Miss and Mr Beach Body SA pageant where she won her age category, and the Best Runway and Most Photogenic categories.

“Modelling is a difficult sport, because you have your days when you have to be assessed by various panel judges. Many of the competitions require that models do charity work, and my fellow models and I from Vogue Catwalk Models usually do our charity work together.”
Mila only really started competing in pageants three years ago, and has since placed among the top five and top three regularly. She plans on furthering her studies as a beautician after her matric year, and advised younger girls who wish to follow in her footsteps to, “… always be yourself. Give only your best and don’t ever give up!” she said.
