Women from Golf Club show they care

Greens staff, bar ladies and waiters, other staff and caddies consequently did not receive an income during the lockdown months

In a time when most people are struggling to get by, the Ladies Section of the Krugersdorp Golf Club opened their hearts and showed their continued support to those who need it most.

The Club has made sure that their employees are taken care of during the lockdown and even beyond, all thanks to these wonderful ladies.

When lockdown started the ladies started their Covid-19 project as staff were severely impacted as golf courses had to be closed country-wide.

Greens staff, bar ladies and waiters, other staff and caddies consequently did not receive an income during the lockdown months.

“The Ladies Section quickly sprang into action and, with the help of their members, were able to give the affected staff members food parcels,” said Pam Koertzen, a member of the Ladies Section.

This project continued even after the golf course re-opened, and Pam said they would keep up the good work until life is back to normal.

She added that the Krugersdorp Golf Club would like to thank all their members who have helped to make this projects a success, and continue to do so.
