Muldersdrift weekend Safer Festive Season Operation: Six arrested

The arrests were for offences ranging from drunken driving, selling liquor without a liquor licence, to illegal immigrants. Fines to the value of R1 500 were also issued during the operation.

A quick operation during Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning yielded positive results in Muldersdrift.

In a statement from Sergeant Mulalo Ndou, the Muldersdrift Police’s communication officer, he said that Mogale City Traffic officers and the police held a parade at the Muldersdrift Police Station on Saturday, 21 November.

They came together for Operation Safer Festive Season that was led by Brigadier Mashao, the Krugersdorp Police station commander. The operation lasted until the early hours of Sunday morning, 22 November.

A total of 257 people and 125 vehicles were searched, and six arrests were made. The arrests were for offences ranging from drunken driving, selling liquor without a liquor licence, to illegal immigrants. Fines to the value of R1 500 were also issued during the operation.

Mashao thanked everyone for their teamwork and effort.
