Investigation launched after weekend crash involving police vehicle
The police have launched an investigation after a marked police vehicle and a VW Golf were involved in an accident in Krugersdorp West.
The Krugersdorp Police are investigating a case of reckless and/ or negligent driving after a Volkswagen Golf 4 and a police vehicle collided in the early hours of Saturday morning, 28 November.
At least three people including police had to be taken to hospital.

The marked police vehicle from a neighbouring police station and the maroon Golf 4 were involved in the accident at about 3am on the corner of Rustenburg Road and Moorcroft Avenue in Krugersdorp West.
“Both drivers and police crew were taken to the nearest hospitals for medical treatment. The investigation continues,” said Sebonyane.
He added that Brigadier Ngwako Mashao, the Krugersdorp Police station commander appealed to all motorists to obey the National Road Traffic Act 200 of 1993 regulations at all times.

He also asked that anyone who might have witnessed the incident to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation.
