Search under way to find missing nine-year-old

The Kagiso Police are calling on the community to help them find 9-year old boy who went missing over the weekend.

The Kagiso Police are urgently requesting the help of the community after a nine-year-old boy went missing recently.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, Kagiso Police spokesperson said they are appealing to the public to assist them with information that could lead to the whereabouts of the missing child from Leratong Village near Tshepisong. The boy’s mother told police that she received a call from the grandmother on Saturday, 5 December at about 2.45pm telling her that her child was missing.

“The child was last seen earlier that day in the company of his uncle,” Sibiya said. He added that members of the community have since been searching within their residential areas to assists the police.

“But they have not found the boy yet.”

The boy’s uncle have been under guard at the local hospital after he was confronted and later assaulted by Leratong residents.

As the Kagiso Police we are therefore appealing to members of the public to come forward.”
