Mayor wishes town a Merry Christmas

'I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year'– mayor.

Executive Mayor Councillor Francis Makgatho of the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) shared his Christmas wish for the community.

“As we reflect on a challenging 2020 where lives and jobs were lost and the country strives to deal with the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, it gives us great pleasure to not only exchange well-wishes with our residents, but also to be thankful to you at this time of the year.

Mogale City hereby wishes you a safe, restful and blessed festive holiday season. Thank you for your meaningful role and contribution to seeing our city flourish and for being responsible citizens who pay their monthly municipal bills on time, which we encourage you to continue to do.

“In conclusion, with South Africa having entered a second wave of Covid-19 infections, I would also like to take this opportunity to make an urgent appeal to our citizens and those visiting our shores, to adhere to the pandemic safety guidelines and also remind those travelling to arrive alive. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
