Flooding leaves hundreds of Krugersdorp residents needing help
Heavy rain and flooding has caused damage to homes, roads and infrastructure in many parts of Krugersdorp.
Following last night’s rain, the Friends of Emergency Services NPC have been collecting donations to help the hundreds of people affected by flooding.
Residents from among others Krugersdorp North, Krugersdorp West, Quallerie park and Kagiso evacuated their homes in the early hours when rain caused flooding.
The flooding has caused damage to roads and infrastructure.
Sharday van den Berg from Friends of Emergency Services said that residents can phone her if they are in need of donations.
She also called on the community to help with food, clothing, blankets and other necessary donations as it is urgent.
She added that they need baby clothes as well and said that some people had lost everything.
