As the community is coming together to help after floods in many parts of Krugersdorp last night, 1 January those affected have been left trying to salvage and fix what they can.
The News have received photos of the damage caused by flooding with some images showing fish lying in the streets after dams overflowed.
Mogale Response Services said they have been inundated with emergency calls and are responding.
