Police urge residents, businesses to be safe

Police from all over the district recently held a crime-prevention campaign in Krugersdorp, and shared some tips on how to be safe.

The police recently took to the streets of Krugersdorp to help residents protect themselves against criminals at home and at work.

Captain Raymond Sebonyane, spokesperson for the West Rand District Police and Krugersdorp Police Station said social crime prevention officers from 13 police stations in the District joined forces to conduct the crime-awareness campaign.

The campaign was run in the Rant-en-Dal, Krugersdorp North and Krugersdorp CBD areas. The community was advised to lock their doors and windows at night, as most criminals use these to gain entry to their premises.
