“While I was busy completing the access documents (Covid-19 forms) on a clip board, the hijackers ran to the vehicle and put a firearm against my head,” she said.
According to the victim, one of the hijackers got halfway into her vehicle and tried to open the doors, while another one had a firearm pointed at the back of her head.
I used the clip board to fight off the one hijacker.”
According to her the security guard on duty hit the firearm from the hijacker’s hand and it fell to the ground. The woman then accelerated and drove into the premises “… dragging the one hijacker with me,” she said.
While the hijackers fled the scene on foot, one of them picked up the firearm that the other one had dropped.
This all happened after the four hijackers had broken into another company’s property where shots were fired.”
Although the police report said only one hijacker had been caught, the woman explained that P&P Security personnel were on scene within a few minutes and caught two of the hijackers.
“They also found the car jammer in their possession.”
She said two firearms were found, and only after she had seen the security footage she realised there were four hijackers.
We were lucky,” said the victim.
She and the Kagiso Police confirmed that a case had been opened and was being investigated.
