VIDEO: Wild West Show rocking the airwaves
DJ Grizzly has a long line-up of presenters ready to launch their new online radio show, the Wild West Show in a couple of weeks.
Boys Mnguni is better known in the West Rand’s vibrant music scene as DJ Grizzly, and has had a storied road which led most recently to the start of achieving his biggest dream.
Having gone from making music on the sidewalk as a child to becoming a ward councillor and a presenter on radio before producing his own hit music singles and videos – he has been through it all.
Grizzly is gearing up to launch his very own online radio show in April with hopes of bringing the culture, music and stories from the streets onto the air for anyone around the world to experience and enjoy.
The project is called the Wild West Show Radio TV and can soon be found online at www.wildwestshow.com.
As they get the show off the ground, they’ll be releasing one show a day every week, each with its own presenter and widely differing topics.
Everyone with a talent can come here and show off that talent, no matter what it is,” Grizzly explained. “We’ve built this studio and will be recording sound and video live onto the website. But, we won’t just be in the studio all the time. We’ll go out on the streets and interview celebs to bring people that West Rand vibe directly.”
He explained that they’ll be running the entire thing much like a reality show with most things happening unscripted and on the go to make it feel more sincere.
“It’s not fair that Soweto and Polokwane stations tell our stories. We have so much talent here and we need to showcase it ourselves and give our people the platform they deserve”.
