Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City still on the decline
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 183 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 12 429 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 12 003 people have recovered so far. There has been 374 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 52.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 880 and 4 887 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 621 and 4 606 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 24 203 with 788 deaths and 23 232 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 183.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 20 636 and 20 181 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 413 265 with 400 389 recoveries and 10 229 deaths. This translates to 2 647 active cases within the Province.
