Business owner starts big drive for Fora in May
George Fowler aims to donate part of his business' earnings and other donations throughout May to help Fora.
Friends of Rescued Animals (Fora) regularly takes in hundreds of stray and abandoned dogs, cats and other pets with hopes of finding them new and safer forever homes.
For this reason Fora is always in need of external funding to keep the lights on, house all the pets they take in, and care for them properly. All of this takes a massive amount of funding, which for many in Krugersdorp make them the perfect organisation to donate to regularly.
George Fowler knows of their need and recently decided that he needed to do more to support this cause. Throughout the month of May, George will be donating a percentage of his business’ proceeds to Fora.
Customers going to his shop, George Fowler Hair Boudoir & Gifts on Viljoen Street will know that some of their payment will go towards helping the town’s furry friends in need, and George is asking that any other donations be delivered to them.
“All donations will be recorded and handed to Fora at the end of May. My aim is to donate a percentage of my turnover from the business to certain NPOs so as to give back to society,” he said.
