Introducing March’s Solve-It Squad winner, Thobile
Eight-year-old Thobile Thobela enjoyed doing the colouring-in competition and wasn't surprised when she won.
Thobile Thobela was all too happy when her mom showed her the colourful activities page for kids in the 26 March edition of the News.
She quickly took out her drawing pencils, did the Solve-It Squad activities and entered the competition.
Nothing was hard for me,” the eight-year-old Thobile said with a smile as she received her prize of all kinds of colourful baking supplies and books.
She said she couldn’t wait to get home, open it and start baking, and that she hoped she could win another one of these competitions soon.
To stand a chance to win, Thobile had to perfectly redraw a few odd-looking figures, trace over images without going over the lines, and create the best rendition of a colouring-in image of a puppy with a bow that she could.
Thobile’s mom then snapped a photo of her while she was drawing and sent it in to the News for judging.
