The Krugersdorp Police are currently doing an inquest and culpable homicide investigation after two bodies have still not been claimed from the Roodepoort Government Mortuary. They are asking the public to please assist them.
Captain Raymond Sebonyane, the Krugersdorp Police spokesperson shared the details of the two cases.
The inquest relates to the case in which an unknown man had brought an unknown woman to hospital in a wheelbarrow at about 6.30pm on 24 August 2020. It was alleged that she had taken an overdose of an unknown substance before she passed away.
The police were asked to go to the hospital and a case docket was opened and is currently being investigated by the Krugersdorp Police. The deceased woman is believed to have been between the ages of 25 and 35.

The culpable homicide case was opened after a man had died in hospital on 1 November 2020. Sebonyane said the man was the victim of a hit-and-run on Luipaard Street and that they had no information pertaining to the vehicle involved.
The police were asked to go to the hospital and a case docket was opened and is currently being investigated by the Krugersdorp Police. The deceased man is believed to have been between the ages of 44 and 55.
“Both deceased’s remains are still at the Roodepoort Government Mortuary and to date they have not been identified and no information is available about them.”
