Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City down to 51

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 186 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 12 659 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 12 228 people have recovered so far. There has been 380 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 51.

Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 7 017 and 5 253 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 751 and 4 948 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 24 936 with 821 deaths and 23 929 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 186.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 21 105 and 20 617 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 424 010 with 410 214 recoveries and 10 663 deaths. This translates to 3 133 active cases within the Province.
