Truck and taxi crash leaves 16 injured
Various paramedics responded to an accident between a taxi and truck on the N14 in Krugersdorp where sixteen people were injured.
Sixteen people were injured during a collision between a truck and a taxi on the N14 in Krugersdorp on Monday afternoon.
ER24’s Ineke van Huyssteen said in a statement that their paramedics arrived at the scene at about 4.30pm and found other emergency services already there. They helped to asses multiple patients who were either lying down or sitting.
“Two people were found to have sustained serious injuries, while fourteen others were found with moderate injuries.”
The ER24 paramedics as well as various other medical services treated the patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.
Van Huyssteen said the exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
