Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City up to 97
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 217 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 12 762 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 12 281 people have recovered so far. There has been 384 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 97.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 7 076 and 5 336 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 797 and 5 053 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 25 181 with 831 deaths and 24 133 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 217.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 21 358 and 20 735 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 428 717 with 413 227 recoveries and 10 775 deaths. This translates to 4 715 active cases within the Province.
