Pay your outstanding fine without fear of arrest

Motorists will have the opportunity to settle outstanding fines without the fear of arrest on Saturday, 29 May at Cradlestone Mall.

After the success of Mogale City Public Safety’s first roadblock outreach a month ago, a similar event will be hosted on Saturday, 29 May, this time at Cradlestone Mall.

Motorists will have the opportunity to settle outstanding fines without fear of being arrested.

Public Safety Communications said in a press release, “After months of working from home and having reduced travel, most motorists are back behind the wheel and the last thing you want to worry about before heading back to your usual errands is being caught in a roadblock with an outstanding traffic fine or, even worse, more than one. To ease this anxiety, Mogale City Public Safety extends an invitation to motorists who wish to pay their traffic fines; even those who have passed the due date or possible pending fines which motorists would like to enquire about.

Those who wish to either dispute or make a request for discounted penalties on their fines with the municipal prosecutor are encouraged to visit our Public Safety offices located at corner Church and Fountain Streets, Mogale City CBD on weekdays from 7.45am to 3pm. If paying fines the traditional way is time-consuming, or you wish to avoid public places for Covid-19 related safety reasons, you can enquire about your outstanding fines by calling 011 951 2280 or 011 951 2297 weekdays and make payment into the below account:

  • Standard Bank;
  • Account name: Mogale City Local Municipality;
  • Account number: 021307172;
  • Branch code: 015841.

Please use the traffic fine notice number as reference, and email your proof of payment to hanneline.laubscher@mogalecity.gov.za.”
