Residents held up and robbed by six intruders

It is alleged that the invaders entered the home when the unsuspecting residents opened their door to let the dogs out.

On Monday, 10 May at 10.20pm six attackers armed with a shotgun and two pistols invaded the home on a smallholding in Rietfontein, Muldersdrift and held up the residents.

The occupants of the house were assaulted and tied up before the attackers ransacked the home and fled with electronic equipment, cellphones, items of clothing, laptops, a TV and other household items.

They escaped in the direction of Rocky Ridge Road towards the Video informal settlement area. All role players responded but unfortunately, no arrests were made.

Muldersdrift Police spokesperson, Sergeant Ndou confirmed the incident and that the police were investigating the attack and robbery.
