Police say body found in Monument Dam is that of a man

Krugersdorp Police confirmed the body found in Monument Dam on Monday is that of a man aged between 40 and 45.

The Krugersdorp Police have opened an inquest docket after a body was found in Monument Dam early on Monday, 17 May.

Captain Raymond Sebonyane, the Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, told the News a passer-by discovered the body of the unknown man at about 11.30am.

He said the Krugersdorp Police and Police Search and Rescue team were dispatched to the scene and they removed the body.

The deceased is believed to be between the ages of 40 and 45, and the cause of his death is unknown at the moment.
