A statement the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) issued on Tuesday morning, 25 May read, “Rand Water has completed repair work at Eikenhof Pump Station and has started pumping water into reservoirs that supply Mogale City. Currently most of our reservoirs that were affected are still at low levels, but we anticipate that as water fills up, water supply to affected areas will be slowly restored throughout the day.

We plead with residents to continue using water sparingly whilst we are trying to get reservoirs up to required levels. In the interim, water tankers will be refilled and remain on site until the system fully recovers. We thank you for your patience.”
