Number of active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City now at 661

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 985 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 13 831 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 12 769 people have recovered so far. There has been 401 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 661.

Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 7 403 and 5 582 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 6 966 and 5 234 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 26 823 with 867 deaths and 24 971 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 985.

 

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 22 881 and 21 586 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 454 815 with 428 079 recoveries and 11 190 deaths. This translates to 15 546 active cases within the Province.
