Number of active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City now at 2 165
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 3 766 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 16 937 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 14 313 people have recovered so far. There has been 459 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 2 165.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 8 985 and 6 237 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 7 596 and 5 530 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 32 166 with 959 deaths and 27 441 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 3 766.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 27 281 and 23 834 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 522 366 with 464 738 recoveries and 11 861 deaths. This translates to 45 767 active cases within the Province.
