Two-vehicle crash leaves three injured

Medics on the scene provided the critically and seriously injured men with pain-relief medication before one was airlifted to hospital.

ER24 reported that on Wednesday night, June 23 medical personnel responded to a collision on the R563.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the local authorities already in attendance,” said ER24 communications officer, Russel Meiring.

Two vehicles were found lying on the side of the road. Three men, believed to be between 40 and 50, were injured when the two vehicles collided. Medics assessed the men and found that one was in a critical condition, the second was in a serious condition, while the third man had sustained minor injuries.”

Medics on the scene reportedly treated the men and provided the critically and seriously injured men with pain-relief medication before one was airlifted to hospital by a private medical helicopter. The other man was transported by ambulance, explained Meiring.

According to Mogale Response Services, police Forensics, Hekpoort Police, ER24, Netcare Public Safety, West Rand District Municipality Fire and Rescue, AfriForum Krugersdorp, Magalies Towing, Oostermoed-beseringsdienste, First Help and Hekpoort farm patrol members were on the scene.
