The Mogale City battle plan for this week

The health department will continue their battle plan this week, which includes Covid-19 testing and more. Here is their schedule for the week of 5 July to 9 July.

The West Rand District Health Department and Gauteng Health Department will continue with their battle plan this week.

Last week, 27 June to 3 July, the teams screened 5 344 members of the community for Covid-19 at their pop-up stations around the West Rand. They tested 1 360 people.

HIV tests were done on 3 072 people, three of whom tested positive and were referred to the clinic for treatment.

The teams screened 5 077 community members for tuberculosis and 16 were referred for further management. They did 4 048 hypertension tests and 3 586 diabetes tests.

The teams also visited 179 households for bereavement support and enforcing compliance with Covid-19 non-pharmaceutical interventions.

This week the teams in Mogale City will be at:
* Krugersdorp North Township Spar (Ward 29) on Monday, July 5
* Azaadville Post Office (Ward 3) on Tuesday, July 6
* Swaneville Taxi Rank (Ward 35) on Wednesday, July 7
* Kagiso Central (Bangkok) (Ward 11) on Thursday, July 8
* Magalies Spar (Ward 31) on Friday, July 9
