Woman behind bars for possession of a variety of drugs

A woman was arrested after the police found a variety of drugs in her room.

Following the arrest of a 53-year-old Soul City woman for brewing and selling a concoction, the Kagiso Police are adamant to restore law and order.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police, said they work closely with their communities and consistently share information about potential perpetrators.

“This kind of relationship is yielding positive results. It makes criminals feel the heat and their lives are uneasy.”

Yesterday, July 22, the police arrested a 26-year-old woman in the Masibi-Langa suburb after a variety of drugs were found in her room.

“She was later detained at the Kagiso Police Station where a case docket of possession and dealing in drugs was opened.”

The Kagiso Police station commander, Brigadier Themba Maduna thanked the communities for their contribution to the fight against crime.

“We all know how drugs have messed up our children’s lives, and how they have shattered their dreams. I must applaud members of our communities for their contributions by providing positive information to the police. Continue giving us information and we will give you the results,” he said.

The woman will appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court.
