Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City now at 517

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 900 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 28 542 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 27 264 people have recovered so far. There have been 761 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 517.

Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 14 020 and 9 817 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 13 341 and 9 271 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 52 386 with 1 608 deaths and 49 878 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 900.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 50 954 and 49 100 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 876 780 with 837 600 recoveries and 17 604 deaths. This translates to 21 576 active cases within the Province.
