The Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has warned today that the water supply to residents of Noordheuwel may be affected while maintenance work is conducted on the pump station at the corner of Shannon Road and Bell Street.
A statement by the MCLM’s Water and Sanitation Division revealed that while assessing the required maintenance work, it was discovered that a valve had burst, causing the pump station to be flooded.
To avoid future downtime and water supply interruptions, the team also decided to replace other valves which were leaking. We anticipate that this work should be done between 15:00 and 16:00 today,” according to the statement.
