Key West puts women first with big donation

August is Women’s Month and in the spirit of celebrating women Key West Shopping Centre once again opened their hearts to those in need.

Marketing manager Daphney Teffo said women play a vital role in society and often neglect themselves as they champion the needs of others.

She added that this year, Key West wanted to make a difference for women from all walks of life, by donating hygiene packs to local shelters.

Some of the shelters that benefited are the Polokego Shelter for abused women and children in Krugersdorp, the Wings of Inspiration Women and Children’s Shelter in Wentworth Park, and the Soul City informal settlement in Kagiso.

The packs included cream, roll-on, a washcloth, toothpaste, a toothbrush, soap, wet wipes and pads.
