Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City down to 271
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 423 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 29 053 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 27 995 people have recovered so far. There have been 787 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 271.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 14 153 and 9 997 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 13 581 and 9 549 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 53 210 with 1 660 deaths and 51 127 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 423.
In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 52 109 and 50 838 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 898 668 with 869 306 recoveries and 18 426 deaths. This translates to 10 936 active cases within the Province.
