Active Covid-19 cases in Mogale City now at 100
The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 192 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mogale City stood at 29 277 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 28 378 people have recovered so far. There have been 799 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 100.
Rand West City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 14 231 and 10 117 cases respectively. Rand West City and Merafong City have seen 13 688 and 9 688 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 53 632 with 1 684 deaths and 51 756 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 192.
In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 52 621 and 51 690 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 909 987 with 886 059 recoveries and 18 931 deaths. This translates to 4 997 active cases within the Province.
