Fully Covid-19 vaccinated individuals in the West Rand now at 171 975

A total of 5 542 905 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as at October 20. The total number of individuals vaccinated are at 3 745 285 with 2 740 343 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises of Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 357 266 vaccinations have been administered, with 171 975 individuals fully vaccinated. According to the Gauteng Provincial Government, the population of the West Rand now stands at 686 355.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 2 441 372 vaccines have been administered with 1 166 384 individuals fully vaccinated. The population of Johannesburg stands at 4 360 765.

• 18 to 34 years: Out of a population of 5 196 154, 538 647 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 35 to 49 years: Out of a population of 13 441 983, 1 018 904 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 50 to 59 years: Out of a population of 1 330 500, 549 344 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 60+ years: Out of a population of 1 342 689, 633 138 individuals have been fully vaccinated
