Animal shelter urgently looking for boy bitten by a possibly rabid dog

9th Day Animal Shelter is urgently looking for a boy that was bitten by a dog that could be infected with rabies.

The 9th Day Animal Shelter appeals to the public who might have information or know the whereabouts of a boy that was reportedly bitten by a dog – suspected to be rabid – on Wednesday morning, October 20.

9th Day’s Charmaine Booysens explained that, “A black, English-speaking boy from a primary school in Krugersdorp West was bitten by a dog after it was run over on Rustenburg Road, Krugersdorp West. This dog could possibly be infected with rabies. The dog had been euthanised and was sent for testing. We urgently need to get hold of the boy and his parents.”
