Covid-19 vaccine: 186 584 individuals fully vaccinated in the West Rand

A total of 5 864 727 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as at October 27. The total number of individuals vaccinated is at 3 881 430 with 2 941 501 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises of Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 380 726 vaccinations have been administered, with 186 584 individuals fully vaccinated. According to the Gauteng Provincial Government, the population of the West Rand now stands at 686 355.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 2 578 040 vaccines have been administered with 1 250 640 individuals fully vaccinated. The population of Johannesburg stands at 4 360 765.

• 18 to 34 years: Out of a population of 5 196 154, 630 112 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 35 to 49 years: Out of a population of 13 441 983, 1 092 726 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 50 to 59 years: Out of a population of 1 330 500, 573 428 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 60+ years: Out of a population of 1 342 689, 644 904 individuals have been fully vaccinated
