Fully vaccinated individuals in the West Rand now at 196 109

A total of 6 000 964 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as of October 31. The total number of individuals vaccinated is at 3 935 877 with 3 028 010 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises of Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 392 190 vaccinations have been administered, with 196 109 individuals fully vaccinated. According to the Gauteng Provincial Government, the population of the West Rand now stands at 686 355.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 2 633 511 vaccines have been administered with 1 303 175 individuals fully vaccinated. The population of Johannesburg stands at 4 360 765.

• 18 to 34 years: Out of a population of 5 196 154, 668 143 individuals have been fully vaccinated
• 35 to 49 years: Out of a population of 13 441 983, 1 125 138 individuals have been fully vaccinated

• 60+ years: Out of a population of 1 342 689, 650 030 individuals have been fully vaccinated
