Do you have a dream? Do it before it is too late

As 2021 comes to its close and 2022 is about to start, look at your bucket list. God gave us life and opportunities, let’s not die without ever living.

• Pastor Gerrit Mes of the AFM Pentecostal Fellowship writes:

With the end of the year just around the corner, I wonder if you have things still outstanding.

In January 2021, in the middle of Covid, many of us had goals – lose weight, get fit, start a new hobby or just survive.

The term ‘bucket list’ is linked to kicking the bucket, a term that describes death. But like in life, we can have long-term or short-term goals. I wonder if you have anything on your list to do before midnight on the 31st of December 2021.

Very few things in life give us more satisfaction as completing something or achieving a goal.

A little verse in the Bible is often in the back of my mind, “Without a vision (dream) my people perish”.

Do you have a dream? Don’t procrastinate, do it before it is too late. It is always sad to do a funeral for someone who has money in the bank and things on his or her bucket list.

Fly to Cape Town, have a trip in a hot air balloon or buy that Harley; or in my case, that Vespa. Regrets don’t come from failing as much as not trying.

As 2021 comes to its close and 2022 is about to start, look at your bucket list. God gave us life and opportunities, let’s not die without ever living. My motto, “I want to stop living and die on the same day”. Many people stop living long before they die.
