A total of 6 432 554 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as of November 13. The total number of individuals vaccinated is at 4 191 655 with 3 305 945 individuals being fully vaccinated.

In the West Rand, which comprises of Mogale City, Rand West City and Merafong City, 428 163 vaccinations have been administered, with 217 507 individuals fully vaccinated.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg, 2 805 037 vaccines have been administered with 1 392 438 individuals fully vaccinated.

All persons older than 12 years old are encouraged to visit their nearest vaccination site to receive the jab. It is thought that vaccinating 70% or more of the adult population can minimise the impact of the fourth wave. The Department of Health (DoH) further reminds the public that those who received a two-dose vaccine need to return for their second dose at 42 days.

All Gauteng sites, both private and public, accepts walk-ins whether people are registered on the EVDS or not.
