Four-hundred gifts to kids in Krugersdorp thanks to Meat World

Meat World recently made a donation to 400 children at the Cradle of Hope organisation.

Krugersdorp West — With the festive season having arrived, Christmas trees going up all over and holiday music already playing in every store, it's important for many to consider those who are in need during this season.

With this in mind, Meat World wanted to reach out once more and help bring some joy to as many children as they could towards mid-December. They chose the Cradle of Hope, knowing about the important work this institution in Krugersdorp does every day among those in need in the community.

Angelino Pereira, Managing Director of the Meat World Group of Companies said it was a pleasure to donate gifts to the 400 kids at the Cradle of Hope. “It's really wonderful to partner with such a successful and essential project, helping people who are less fortunate than ourselves”.

Melodie van Brakel, CEO and founder of the Cradle of Hope said, “It was such a blessing to see all these little faces light up when they received their gifts and toys. We run 15 different projects, directly impacting the lives of more than 1 200 less-fortunate, destitute, abused and vulnerable adults and children every day. They come from all over South Africa because places like this simply do not exist. At times they arrive in the middle of the night with literally the clothes on their backs. We survive wholly on donations and sponsorships from individuals and corporates as well as from our own fundraising events.”
