Soccer academy now part of KSC
The Nicko Taurus Football Academy will now form part of the Krugersdorp Sports Clubs' growing sports offering.
The Krugersdorp Sports Club (KSC) in Krugersdorp West is growing to new strengths this year and added a few more sports codes to supplement their offering.
The club has recently announced the latest addition to their family, being the Nicko Taurus Football Academy (NTFA) under the leadership of Nick Motshawane and Elliott Mutengesanwa.
“KSC aspires to become the leading sports club on and around the West Rand, focusing mainly on Krugersdorp and the surrounding areas. It’s understandable that not all ‘sports fanatics’ in Krugersdorp share the same love and passion for team sports such as rugby, soccer, netball, etc. For this reason, KSC will continuously seek other sporting codes to join the club. Our main goal is to keep young people, young adults and families off the street by enabling them to participate in a sport of their choice that can help them to develop and become part of an active, positive environment,” explained KSC executive committee member Susara Snyman.

The NTFA will have both boys and girls soccer teams in various age groups.
In 2021, NFTA finished sixth overall in the Gauteng Sasol Women’s League and are currently aspiring towards qualifying for the Hollywoodbets Super League and the West Rand Regional Women’s Football League.
“NTFA will also be hosting schools and community festivals on a quarterly basis to create awareness about soccer among local schools and community members. The aim is to spread the love for soccer and its development,” Susara added.
