Long-serving member at Krugersdorp Police calls it a day

Krugersdorp Police bid farewell to one of its decorated members who had served the Police Service with dedication for 31 year and 312 days.

Krugersdorp Police bid farewell to one of its long-serving members after almost 32 years.

Petronella Magrietha Steyn joined the Service on April 23, 1990 and officially retired on Monday, February 28. She started as a typist and retired as principal typist.

Steyn turned 65 on February 25, and the members wished her a happy birthday and a happy retirement all in one.

On behalf of the Krugersdorp Police, support services head Colonel Rebecca Masango said to Steyn, “Happy retirement; we will miss you at the office. You have worked hard for so many years. You deserve to relax and take it easy for a change. Enjoy it.”
