ATM bombed in North West: Police arrest six in Tarlton shortly afterwards

Six suspects were arrested on Friday morning March 18 in connection with an ATM bombing in North West.

Six suspects were arrested in Tarlton, Krugersdorp on Friday morning, March 18 for involvement in an ATM bombing in a neighbouring province.

According to Karen du Plessis, the Public Relations Officer of the Krugersdorp Police Flying Squad the suspects who were travelling in a taxi were nabbed the same morning as an ATM bombing in the North West province.

Du Plessis said an undisclosed amount of cash was found during the arrest, and police also discovered that at least three of them were illegal foreigners.

We believe that the suspects were on their way to bomb another ATM somewhere in Krugersdorp,” Du Plessis added.
