A case of motor vehicle theft is being investigated by the Krugersdorp Police after a silver-blue Mercedes-Benz S320 with registration number KWN 248 GP was spotted in Randfontein.
“The case has been opened and the matter is under investigation,” said Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Captain Raymond Sebonyane.
According to a relative of the vehicle’s owner, who wished to remain anonymous, the vehicle had been booked in for repairs at a one-stop tyre and fitment retailer in Krugersdorp, but it was last seen at a filling station in Randgate.
The thief went to a service station in Randgate where he put in petrol and drove away,” the woman said.
