New look Lewisham Primary first team
A local company recently spoiled Lewisham Primary with some sport equipment.
When next the Lewisham Primary first rugby team runs onto the field they will be looking a little different thanks to a generous donation.
Somila Nyamakazi, social community strategist for Impizi Projects visited the school on Friday, April 8 to hand over brand-new rugby jerseys to the first rugby team.
She explained that they wanted to help the school because they felt it needed new development and some upgrades, adding that charity begins at home and their company is just two minutes away from the school.
They first sponsored four projectors for their classrooms as they wanted to help give the children a conducive learning environment. During the company’s first visit they promised that they would be coming back with sporting equipment.
They delivered on that promise during their recent visit.
Apart from brand-new rugby jerseys they donated a hockey goalie kit, four hockey balls, four rugby balls, and 11 hockey sticks. Impizi also sent in a team to paint the school’s rugby poles.
Four of the first team rugby players proudly showed off their new jerseys to theĀ News.
