Truck driver seriously injured in roll-over

The man was flown to hospital by a Netcare 911 helicopter.

At 15:30 on Thursday, July 14, Netcare 911 responded to a collision just off the R400 between Hekpoort and the Cradle of Humankind.

Reports indicate that the driver of a truck transporting diesel lost control, resulting in a roll-over. The adult male was assessed and found to have sustained serious injuries.

The Krugersdorp Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free the man from the wreckage while paramedics stabilised him.

Once treated, the man was flown to hospital by a Netcare 911 helicopter for further care.
