Meat World Mascot: The Top 10 designs announced
Meat World has announced the Top 10 designs of the mascot competition.
The Meat World Group of Companies recently launched a very exciting competition to find the best design for the new Meat World Mascot.
The competition was open to any South African artist above the age of 12 and numerous designs were received from around the country. The public is now invited to vote for their favourite design.
Voting can be done on the Meat World Facebook page or by SMSing the following to 37338: Your favourite design – only the number, then your name and surname, and your email address.
Five of the people who voted will win 1kg of biltong with the compliments of Meat World. The winners will be chosen by draw and the decision of the organisers is final. SMSes cost R1.50 each. Terms and conditions apply.
Meat World’s managing director, Angelino Pereira said he was very excited. “I was really surprised with the number of designs we received. We also enjoyed the names and stories that the entrants sent with the designs. I must also thank each and every artist for the amount of work and creative energy they have put into the designs. We could see that every artist worked very hard to put the best design on the table,” Pereira said.
The five top adjudicators for the Mascot Designs:
• Heidi du Toit – Managing Director of Hollywood Costumes
• Thabo Sekoaila – Visual Arts Curator at the City of Ekurhuleni
• Ntsikelelo Mzibomvu – Independent Artist\
• Hannelie Swart – Manager: Creative Arts of the City of Ekurhuleni and independent artist
• Angelino Pereira – Managing Director of the Meat World Group of Companies
After the public voting has closed, the winner of the Meat World Mascot Design Competition will be announced. The competition was administered by Red Pen Marketing.
