23 Years of dance ends at Synergy Worx
After more than two decades of nurturing talent and inspiring the Krugersdorp dance community, Synergy Worx closes its doors, leaving a legacy of confidence, creativity and unforgettable performances.
After 23 years of inspiring young dancers and creating lasting memories on stage, Synergy Worx will be closing its doors, marking the end of an era for the Krugersdorp dance community.
The studio, founded in 2003, has been a hub for young girls to develop their skills, confidence, and passion for dance.
A legacy of dance and inspiration
According to Natasha Rizzo, founder and head instructor, thousands have passed through the studio over the years, from toddlers discovering dance for the first time to adults pursuing new styles like belly dancing.
“We had kids start as toddlers who later became parents and brought their own children. We have seen most of Krugersdorp grow up through our studio,” she said.
Natasha added that the studio’s greatest achievement was helping children fall in love with dance, build confidence and experience the joy of performing on stage. Some dancers even went on to feature in music videos, compete on television programmes like So You Think You Can Dance, earn international accolades, and join the Jozi Youth Dance Company.

Dance for all ages and styles
Synergy Worx welcomed students of all ages – from 2 to 46 – and offered a wide variety of dance styles, including ballet, hip hop, and belly dancing.
Natasha emphasised that the studio was a place where every dancer felt supported, inspired, and excited to dance.

Passing the torch
After 30 years of teaching, Natasha explained the decision to close the studio.
“I’ve always believed I should never expect something from my dancers that I can’t do myself. Teaching dance is physical, and the day I could no longer demonstrate at the level I expect, it was time to step aside and make space for the next generation of teachers,” she said.
She also expressed her pride in the relationships she has built with other studio owners and her confidence that her dancers will continue to grow under their guidance.
“Each dancer was unique and special. Together, they shaped the heart and legacy of Synergy Worx,” Natasha concluded.
