Criminal gets stuck in chimney during Krugersdorp North break-in

There were two incidents on Monday September 12 – the first one at 15:09 on Libertas Street in Noordheuwel, during which a man man was shot and killed.

According to Mapogo’s crime report they found the man had passed away when they arrived. They contacted the police who took over the scene for further investigation.
The second incident, an attempted break-in took place at 21:19 at Pinocchio Farms in Tarlton. The perpetrators broke the lock of the gate to gain entry onto the premises. The guards noticed them and gave the alarm, after which the perpetrators fled the scene.
On Wednesday, September 14 at 20:40 Mapogo responded to a break-in at a house on Wishart Street in Krugersdorp North.
A perpetrator gained entry into the house by opening a window and forcing open the burglar bars. They stole copper pipes.”
When the neighbour gave the alarm the perpetrator attempted to hide on the roof. He climbed into the chimney where he got stuck.

“He was removed from the chimney and arrested with the assistance of CPF members.”
They responded to two more incidents on Saturday, September 17 – at 12:35 to a shop in Krugersdorp West where the perpetrator attempted to shoplift but was caught by staff; and at 23:01 to an attempted house break-in on Emdon Street Kenmare where the perpetrators broke the lock to the guardhouse but fled the scene.
