Krugersdorp Police spokesperson Captain Raymond Sebonyane said the West Rand K9 Unit was busy patrolling in Sivewright Street at about 11:00 on Sunday, February 26 when they received a tip-off that someone was selling explosives.

Captain Sebonyane said the members received the address from where the explosives were presumably being sold and headed to the property.

Police searched the property with a police K9 and found seven cup fuse cables, two detonator cords, and four tubes of power gel before it was confiscated.

The man and woman are 43 and 48 years old and were arrested and detained at the Krugersdorp police station while the investigation for the possession of explosives case continues.
